A hilly and fast paced walk linking the National Trust sites to the west of Sevenoaks - Emmetts Garden, Toys Hill, Mariners Hill, Chartwell and Ide Hill. The walk takes place on public footpaths and bridleways, so no National Trust membership is required, but for anyone who is a member please do bring your card to scan at a couple of them - the least we can do in exchange for using their toilets.
Bring a packed lunch - the lunch stop will be at Chartwell (10 miles distance) where there is a cafe and toilets, there will also be a mini stop at Emmetts (7 miles distance) which also has a cafe and toilets.
The pace will be fast and the total ascent will be 950 metres with some steep climbs, so a good level of fitness is required as there are no obvious drop out points. Plenty of pubs to choose from in Sevenaoks Town Centre at the end.
Transport: Take the 9:45 from London Charing Cross (Waterloo East: 9:48, London Bridge 9:54) arrive at Sevenoaks 10:18.
