Autumn is a lovely time to enjoy the changing seasons in Sherwood. From the car park off Netherfield Lane just north of Sherwood, we will walk south east through Budby Heath and into the forest to the visitor centre where we will break for coffee. We then follow paths past the Major Oak, (which is looking sad and in need of some tlc ), along quieter tracks through the centre of Sherwood to the Gleadthorpe Plantation. Paths then take us north, east, and then south along Budby Drive to the car park.
The paths are usually good but strong footwear is advisable, especially if wet.
We will have a coffee and a lunch break.
There are toilets at the visitor centre.
IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER PLEASE CONTACT THE WALK LEADER ON THE MORNING OF THE WALK.
