Overview

#The SHR Coach Trip is fully booked#

We start our 10 mile walk from the coach drop off finding our way to the ferry via the narrow, twisting block paving High Street. The 5 minute crossing takes us to a slippery landing stage - Take Care ! (£2.50 cash for ferry in correct change please to be collected on coach by Alexis)

Following the raised path along the estuary we see many wading birds and old boat wrecks before arriving for a short walk beside a busy road to reach Bursledon railway station. We then take some narrow, uneven footpaths eventually crossing a busy road where we take The Rail Trail, cross a disused Airfield, follow Strawberry Trail & Country Park until we reach a Chapel (interesting history here).

We join the Solent way & King Charles III coast path beside the shoreline on shingle beaches and undulating woodland paths reaching a marina where we turn into Hamble common before arriving back into Hamble-le-Rice for a pint or two (time permitting) before taking the coach home.
