Overview

A moderate and varied circular walk going along a wide path by the River Severn, where it’s possible to walk 3 or 4 abreast (ideal for holding a conversation as well as enjoying the lovely views). We’ll have our drink stop at the site of the Hampstall Ferryboat disaster of 1919. Our lunch stop will be around Shrawley Wood which is the largest area of small-leafed lime trees in the country. We’ll return through a Vineyard that was once the most northerly in the world. Joint walk with Sandwell Ramblers and Wolverhampton Ramblers.
