Overview

A moderate walk of around 7 miles starting from Shustoke Reservoir heading out to Botts Green and then to Nether Whitacre with its notable church. The route has a mix of field paths and tracks as well as using lanes to reduce (where possible) muddy sections. There are a couple of stiles.

Meet at Wyndley Swimming Pool car park 08:45 for car sharing. Directions to Shustoke Reservoir car park: there are numerous options including from Dunton Island (roundabout for M42 junction 9) take exit for Kingsbury A4097, continue to large roundabout, take third exit onto Coton Road. After passing through Whitacre Heath, turn left at juction with Coleshill Road (B4114). the entrance to the Reservoir car park is on the left in approximately half a mile. If you have reached the Plough Inn, you have missed the turning. CAR PARK CHARGE IS £1.50 CASH ONLY.
