The walk starts outside the Exeter Arms in Barrowden.
We follow the lane from the village to Morcott crossing the A47. Walking through this pretty village we follow field tracks to Glaston where we walk alongside the A47 for a short distance. We then head downhill to Bisbrooke. We then follow a pretty valley and cross the disused railway before heading up. to the village of Seaton. It is then downhill to cross the B672 to head towards the Welland Viaduct, the longest brick-built viaduct in England. After crossing the River Welland and going under the viaduct we head into Harringworth. We then cross a field with horses and follow the Welland to Turtle Bridge, the county boundary between Northamptonshire and Rutland. Following the old railway track we head back to Barrowden and a well-deserved drink in the pub!
