Overview

Shortly after the start, this leisurely paced walk follows a narrow path high above the Dean Heritage Centre, then drops down into the village of Soudley. The Blue Rock Trail with its wooden sculptures and new river improvement works leads to Ruspidge, from where we climb steadily through Staple Edge Wood to one of the high points of the Forest with extensive views across the woods. From there the route drops back down through the woods back to the start.
