South Downs Way to Winchester
Linear walk 4.9 miles, using 64 bus to access the starting point and to return. Lovely views, easy paths, fields, and great landscapes. Pick up the South Downs way above Temple Valley, ascend to Cheesefoot Head, roam to Chilcomb village and descend to Winchester City Centre. Some initial ascent, but last 2/3 of the walk is mostly downhill! We will stop for a snack midway. There is a coffee van at the Cheesefoot Head car park (I hope).
