Southwell Round

The walk starts by going through the grounds of  the 12th century Southwell minster and the town to walk beside the river Greet to the hamlet of Maythorne and its old silk watermill.  The walk then joins the Southwell trail before crossing tracks and fields to Halam. We head for Westhorpe and Cundy Hill where we join the Robin Hood Way through Brackenhurst College before returning to Southwell.

When recently doing the recce, we enjoyed the autumn colours at their best.
