We are Coalville Ramblers - a friendly group based in the heart of the National Forest. We offer a programme of 3 walks each week, from 5 miles to 10 plus.
A linear walk from Coalville through Ravenstone and Jubilee Woods before finishing in Ashby Town Centre at The Shoulder of Mutton. There is a regular bus service between the 2 towns allowing walkers to either walk out and bus back or bus out and walk back. Depending on the state of the footpaths this walk may include some high stiles (if we are able to go via Swannington/Farm Town). If there is too much vegetation on this route we will take an easier route via Ravenstone. I'll be checking the paths a few days before so feel free to contact me the day before if you wish to know which route we will be taking. There will be the chance to enjoy post walk refreshments in Wetherspoons Ashby and/or pre walk breakfast in Wetherspoons Coalville beforehand (or just come for the walk if you prefer!).
For those travelling to Coalville by car there is parking available at the Council Offices, off Belvoir Road, and (at the time of writing) this is free of charge. Anyone prefering to leave their car at the end of the walk in Ashby can find free parking by the Bath Grounds, near the cricket club - accessed by a small road off Station Road before the railway bridge.
