St Boswells Circular along the River Tweed

From St Boswells the walk follows the south east boundary of the golf course initially then along the Tweed to Mertoun bridge. The walk continues along the riverbank past Benrig Crystal Well and Mule Gang to reach the suspension footbridge across the Tweed to Mertoun House. A short section of road walking goes uphill to Clintmains hamlet where the route continues downhill past the cemetery to gain the riverbank again, then continues to Dryburgh Abbey. We then cross the Tweed again by the footbridge at the Temple, and return to St Boswells along the south bank of the river.
