We will start by taking fields and quiet lanes inland to loop around to St Donats Castle, visiting the church below the castle walls. A fairly recently created path then takes us to the cliff tops. Pass lighthouses and down to the beach. Clambering over large pebbles to cross rocks and reach a superb beach walk.
More tricky pebbles at the far side, and back. Lunch stop only.
There is a stream to ford, so dubbin those boots and wear your gaiters. The pebbles are a bit tricky, a walking stick is recommended.
Take the narrow lane past the entrance to The Plough And Harrow pub, car park is a field with an honesty box.
