Rescheduled Stage 5 - a linear walk from Sudbury to Lavenham, continuing our journey along the St Edmund Way.
Meet in Lavenham, to catch the 09:50 Bus to Sudbury, where we'll re-join the St Edmund Way and walk back through Sudbury, Long Melford, and the lovely countryside in-between.
There should be some facilities along the route, but in case they aren't open, please bring enough food and drink for the day.
NB: SOME OF THE ROUTE IS PRONE TO FLOODING AFTER HEAVY RAIN. PLEASE CHECK WALK DETAILS ON THE MORNING OF THE WALK.
IF THE STOUR VALLEY IS STILL FLOODED, RATHER THAN CANCEL THE WALK, 'PLAN B' IS TO REPLACE IT WITH A CIRCULAR WALK FROM LAVENHAM (SAME MEETING POINT AND START TIME).
NOTE MEETING TIME: Bus leaves Lavenham at 09:50 from the 'Coach Park' bus stop in front of the Cock Horse Inn; £3 (or bus pass).
Closest parking to bus stop is the large public car park behind the Cock Horse Inn - £2.50 for the day.
Bus is due into Sudbury Bus Station at 10:22. If you want to meet us in Sudbury, please let the Walk Leader know in advance so that we can look out for you.
