Overview

Starting from the recreation ground car park, the walk will head to Polstead using sections of the St Edmunds Way and Stour Valley Path, where we will have coffee (3 miles).  We will then continue north through Bower House Tye to Groton, passing the little-known Pitches Mount, where a Norman timber castle once stood.   We will then turn south and on to Boxford for lunch (9 miles).  After lunch, we will return to the car park along the River Box.
