Starting from St Endellion Church across lanes and fields to the scenic Coast Path leading to historic Port Isaac (of Doc Martin fame). Onward to Port Gaverne a once bustling industrial port receiving slate from Delabole quarry by horse and cart, which was then loaded onto ships bound for Wales and Ireland. Passing the former pilchards cellars before climbing up through the valley to the hamlet of Trewetha. From there, a descent into a wooded valley and onwards towards Tresungers, returning along fields and quiet lanes with countryside views back to the church at St Endellion.
Food and drink. Sturdy boots recommended as likely to encounter a little mud (depending on rainfall around the timing of the walk). At the time of the recce, there was no livestock in any of the fields crossed. Well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome. Several stiles, a small number that dogs may need lifting over. Three to four climbs, one involves climbing quite a number of steps. One narrow descent that could be a bit slippy (again, depending on rainfall) - so sticks helpful there. Toilets at Port Isaac and Port Gaverne (each with 50p charge). Finishing with tea and cake at Seaview Farm Shop (about four miles from St Endellion - on the road to Delabole).
