Overview

WEATHER PERMITTING - please check on the morning of the walk.

This can be a beautiful walk through meadow and woodland along the Belvoir Ridge. There are great views across the Vale.

We’ll walk from Stathern Village and up through Coombs Meadow to and around Combs Plantation to join the Jubilee Way along the Belvoir Ridge. After admiring the fine views to the north across the Vale of Belvoir we reach Reeded Cottage, a 19th century gamekeeper's house on the Belvoir Estate, before dropping down off the Leicestershire Wolds escarpment to head for the Engine Yard and the entrance to Belvoir Castle.

We will then rejoin the Jubilee Way back towards Stathern via Tofts Hill.
