Overview

Circular 9.75 mile walk in the Lovedon wapentake.

The full walk: Starting at Hough-on-the-Hill, and taking in the locations of Gelston, passing Loveden Hill, Gelston Grange, Brandon, Caythorpe & Frieston

Mixture of footpaths across grazing land, woodland & fields, tracks, minor roads and crossing main roads.  There is a steep incline down and up at Gelston.

  2. Option for shorter walk after morning coffee and before lunch omitting Caythorpe - Brandon back to Hough -  may need to find own way back (no leader) total walk 5.5miles

Require walking boots and suggest walking poles for various places.

Boggy woodland area and other in places, and sticky cultivated fields, after rainfall.
