Overview

From Stone we will descend to the Thame Valley via Upper Hartwell, picking up the Midshires Way (MW) and following the River Thame to Bridge Lodge. From there we will continue on the MW back up to the village of Stone. There should be good views across the Thame valley. Some paths around Stone are narrow and uneven, but elsewhere they are generally very good and often surfaced. There will be mud and slippery sections at this time of year. Bring poles if you use them. Also, bring refreshments for one short stop.
