Overview

A clockwise route heading north east via Nanny Goat Lane, Stone town centre, Trent riverside water meadows, the Trent and Mersey canal, and the common plot. there are few stiles, but care is needed crossing and walking along some busy road section. Winter walking conditions apply.

Historical points of interest en route include: Stone's lost medieval abbey; flour and flint mills, a naval hero admiral of the blue, and a Saxon saint.
