We are the Cambridge Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The Cambridge Group is completing circular walks to cover the Stour Valley Path during 2026. Parts of the walk follow or pass near the trackbed of a former railway line that operated between Haverhill and Clare from 1865 to 1967.
We will pass by Stoke College which is built on the site of a major medieval monastic college dating back to 1415.
The route includes the valley of the River Stour, a key natural feature of the area with river meadows and grazing land, small bridges and waterside paths & wetland habitats supporting birds and waterfowl.
Please bring food & drink with you. There is a grocery store just after the start of the walk.
The meeting point is Kedington Community Centre Car Park, Arms Lane just off Kings Hill and near Bernardiston Arms pub.
