This is probably one of the finest walks in the Purbeck area with extensive views throughout. The route follows well defined paths through heathland and woodland before emerging onto a downland ridge with panoramic views of the coast. The route then follows the Purbeck Way to the coast and Old Harry Rocks. Mainly easy to moderate walking but with a total ascent of 1,777 ft and two quite steep climbs. Map OL15.
Everyone is welcome. If you would like to join this walk, please notify the walk leader (Phil H 07831379129) or email swrsundaywalks@gmail.com. Dogs - please contact walk leader before the walk.
If you would like to car share, please let the walk leader know when you book and we will hopefully be able to facilitate this.
There will be two stops during the day for coffee and lunch (please bring a picnic).
