A lovely walk through the grounds of Quarry Bank Mill, along the River Bollin with a diversion for a close up of the planes taking off from Manchester Airport.

Near the end of the walk we will be passing Quarry Bank Mill and the Car Park and then there is the opportunity for lunch/refreshments at The Ship (pub) or Earlam’s Community Café, which are 5 minutes walk from the station or 10 minutes from the car park.

Meet on road bridge across railway line at Styal station. Let me know if you are travelling by train and get delayed. There is a large free car park at Quarry Bank Mill, which is a 15 minute walk from Styal station. Contact me if you intend to travel by car as you can join the walk at the Quarry Bank Visitor Reception, next to the car park at approximately 11.05am
