A 10 mile circular walk through Sussex countryside, farms and woodlands. Starting and finishing by walking through the National Trust's Nymans Woods, through countryside and woodland to Balcombe for a stop (c. 4 miles) at St Mary's Church. Through countryside for a late picnic lunch at Staplefield at 8 miles (2pm ish). Less than an hour after lunch back to the start.
Cars required. Please car share if possible. Park in Handcross and meet outside the Red Lion Pub for a 10.15am start.
If you can, please RSVP to this walk via our Meetup site. This will give the walk leader a rough idea of how many people may be attending. If you are a paid up member of the Ramblers organisation, you can ignore any waitlist you may find yourself on.
We don't ask you to pay to join us on your first three walks. Afterwards, in order to continue walking with our group, you must become a paid-up member of the Ramblers. Click here (https://www.ramblers.org.uk/membership) to apply. The cost is very reasonable and there are also other benefits. Please then bring your membership card with you.
