Starting from Upper Hollesley Common we will walk through parts of Hintlesham Forest, past the visitor centre and visit the site of the infamous UFO sighting of 1980. After our coffee break we'll visit Little Scotland and make our way to the village of Hollesley for a picnic lunch. The afternoon is a short return to the start via Lower Hollesley Common.
Please bring a picnic lunch.
Free car park at Upper Hollesley Common. Directions - Take the road past Melton Railway Station and at the next roundabout take the second exit (B1033) to pass the entrance to Sutton Hoo. Take the next left turn which is signposted to Hollesley. After approx 2 miles turn into the car park on the left just after Red Lodge. As the car park is not huge please car share if possible.
