Overview

10.30 start.  Lay-by by Denham Bridge GR478678

Spring Flower Special    4 miles.    Height gain 120m

Circular walk.  No facilities en-route.  Dogs on short leads welcome.

Up the lane, cut back down to the Tavy at Ludbrook.  Inspect the unique meadow of Spring Squills.  Along the Tavy to Hatch Mill, then a mile uphill along the lane and onto the corner of the Moor with splendid views.  Our break will be at Berra Tor; unusually this is Devon Killa rock, not granite.  A little past this we turn off the Moor onto lanes past Fairtown and a final footpath to the lane down to Denham Bridge.

Many spring flowers abound on this route
