This flat walk starts at Tayport then goes to Tentsmuir Forest, shore and dunes of Tentsmuir Point nature reserve, with plenty of wildlife interest in the Firth of Tay and in the forest itself. This is an area of shifting sands and dunes, where the dunes are actively and quickly reclaiming land from the sea. We visit a 19th century ice-house, built to chill salmon caught on the shore before returning to Tayport.

Travel to start of walk by private bus. Pick up points in Cumbernauld: 8:50am - Craiglinn Roundabout Bus Stop 8:55am - Condorrat Main Road Bus Stop. 9.00 am - Park at car park for Cumbernauld New Town Hall, Bron Way, Cumbernauld G67 2LP Then make your way to the bus stop on Bron Way (left out car park) (see map) **** Bus back at Cumbernauld approximately 6pm. ****
