We are the Cleveland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Come and join us for a easy leisurely 5 mile walk along the River Tees from Tees Barrage, to "blow the cobwebs away" after over indulging at Christmas. Walk is ideal for new members as a good starting level walk
Meeting point will be the "circle of flags" at the side of the car park above the White Water course What3words ringside.flannel.propose , grid reference NZ462192 - see photo attached to description
Setting off from the car park near the Talpore Pub, we'll walk up river towards Stockton, crossing the river over the Infinity Bridge, around the waterway inlets to the Millennium Bridge , where we cross back over the river towards Stockton. We continue along the riverside to Victoria Bridge, after crossing this bridge onto Thornaby side, then back along the side of the river until we reach the Tees Barrage bridge. After crossing at the Tees Barrage we return to our cars.
An almost flat walk with no stiles, along good paths and pavements.
As its Christmas I thought it would be nice to have a coffee/ drink afterwards in the Talpore pub near the car park.
There will be a ten minute break. Please feel free to bring a drink/snack to enjoy. Assistance dogs only.
Park in public car park near the Talpore PH but not in the Talpore Car Park. Car park entrance is 1st turning on right, drive past the disabled parking bays to general parking area.
