Overview

From the visitor centre, we will take the steep downhill path signposted ‘Sadler’s Way’. and walk into Macclesfield forest heading towards the reservoirs.

We pass the Leather's Smithy pub heading towards Bottoms reservoir and cross a small bridge into Tegg's Nose wood following signs for the Gritstone Trail.

reaching the top of Tegg's Nose is a steep slope with rewarding views, then we follow the trail back to the visitor centre passing some historic quarry machinery on the way.

Please inform walk leader if meeting at Tegg's Nose.
