This is the 8th leg of our route along the Thames footpath. You do not need to have walked any of the other stretches – you are welcome to come along just for today! Dogs are also welcomed
Because it is a relatively short distance we will meet at Maidenhead station at 11am. We start by walking through town to get to Maidenhead Bridge where we can start our walk. It is the classic Thames Footpath – river boats, locks and some stunning houses
There is the option of a drink/early lunch at Cookham after c3miles. We then continue for c3.5 miles to reach Marlow. Marlow is a small bustling town – think White Stuff, The Ivy and Focaccia with Pepperoni (rather than a bacon butty!)
Marlow station is c0.5 miles outside of town. Trains from Marlow to Paddington take c1 hour with a change at Maidenhead. I have given up trying to work what is in and outside of the London zones…
Distances to and from stations are included in the estimated mileage
