A mostly flat walk alongside the Thames Path following the meander of the river around the Greenwich Peninsula to the Cutty Sark. At this point (6.4 miles) we can stop for lunch and enjoy the views and walkers have the option of dropping out and getting on the DLR train. Continuing on through historic Deptford, Rotherhithe and Bermondsey the walk will end a Tower Bridge. The whole walk is an intriguing blend of the old and new with monumental artworks, old industrial sites and is mostly traffic free with exception of cyclists and joggers.
Toilet breaks are sparse and spread out. Please bring a picnic but there are cafes and shops along the way.
