This walk is 1 of 3 walks, where we cover the Thames Pathway in London.
Part 1 – Thames Barrier to Tower Bridge
Part 2 – Tower Bridge to Barnes Bridge
Part 3 – Barnes Bridge to Hampton Court
Part 2 - We start at Tower Bridge (outside Tower Hill Station) and make our way along the southside of the Thames Pathway. Heading through the South Bank we pass many of bridges and see many of the famous sites along the Thames, where we finish at Barnes Bridge.
Walk is on pathways, so walking shoes are recommended. There will be a lunch stop, so please bring a packed lunch. There will also be the option of a pub stop at the end in Barnes Village.
Transport back is via train from Barnes to Waterloo. If journeying on from its recommended to walk over to Embankment and catch a tube for Liverpool Street / Fenchurch Street. Alternatively you can pick up the Jubilee line and head to Stratford.
The group walk at a steady pace of 2.5 miles an hour, and there is requirement of all walkers to respect the general pace.
Numbers are strictly limited and places need to be prebooked with the walk leader.
