Greetings and salutations!
I am bringing you this walk which is not too far from Aberdeen. Its an 18km hike with scenery that consists of grasslands, forests and hills. There will be a 485 m elevation gain. The path is known to become overgrown at times so some clever maneuvering or scrambling might be required that is why I am marking this walk as challenging. Please make sure you are fit enough to attend and that you are ok with going off path at times. The walk will take us roughly 5 hours. Torphins is generally quite good for parking most parking is around the The Learney Hall so that's where we will meet and walk from there.
If you need a lift let people know in the comments somebody will happily give you a ride to and from.
We are dog friendly but please let us know beforehand when taking your pet.
We will continue to register attendance using the Ramblers App. If you are a Ramblers member, it would be really helpful if you could either bring your membership card along, or download and login to the Ramblers app. If you are not a Ramblers member, I will ask for your name and contact number/e-mail at the start. ***If this is your fourth or more walk with AYW then you need to have Ramblers membership: http://www.ramblers.org.uk/become-a-member.aspx
Any questions please feel free to get in touch with me.
Looking Forward to seeing you there!
Stay Awesome :)
