This walk is adapted from the guidebook "Cornwall, Walks to Churches" but with a different meeting place, The Rising Sun, Altarnun, which has a large car park and the option for refreshment and a chat afterwards.
The walk is a mix of quiet country roads and footpaths, some through woods, some through livestock grazing (well behaved dogs on short leads welcome). There are a couple of steep climbs and a couple of sections go through bracken which is quite dense this time of year! Wonderful panoramic views of rolling Cornish countryside from the top of the valley climbs.
There are approximately seven stiles of varying construction, (please note that a couple of them require dogs to be lifted over).
Walking boots, food and drink are essential, walking poles useful on the valley climbs.
There are several places where a lunch break can be taken, this will be open to discussion.
Mid walk there is a public toilet at St. Clether church.
