From Dunster Steep CP we cross the road and head up to the Community Orchard and the Butter Cross. Then go past the allotments and take Goosey Path to Grabbist Hill. Along the Macmillan Way, then down a steep stoney track to Wooton Courtenay. After passing the church we wander down the street to an old drovers route that crosses fields and streams to bring us to the A39. Cross over and pass Timberscombe church, and on through the village. We leave by climbing up hill to, cross fields before walking downhill to pass by Timberscombe's Ancient Oak and on into Townsend Wood. Then we cross the A39 at Avill Farm and follow the lane back to Dunster. We return to the CP through Dunster Castle where we can stop to take a peek at the Dream Garden and use the facilities.
Some hills and stiles. May be wet and muddy underfoot. Some steep stoney tracks. Hopefully good views and spring flowers.
