Hello Everyone
Leicestershire calling! Yes, we're back again following last week, but this time a few miles further north at Thringstone near Coalville. Andy is charge this time with a 9.5-mile circular walk from Grace Dieu Priory to Mount Saint Bernard Abbey. His walk has some slight ups and downs and there are about 8 stiles. Through woodland, farm tracks and quiet lanes. There are two sections of road walking.
We visit the remains of Grace Dieu Priory and stop at Mount Saint Bernard Abbey, a working monastery where the monks make their own beer and chocolate to sell in the shop.
As ever, you're welcome to join us but please let us know beforehand if this is your first time with the group. Thank you.
Registration: 09.30. Walk start: 09.45. Walk leader: Andy (07835 430935)

See you all there on Sunday morning.
Directions primarily for our own members and anyone arriving from the south via the M42/A42 which is the straightforward easy way. Other routes are possible too of course, but more complex.
Satnav preferable using What3words for total accuracy.
The start car park is at the rear of The Bull's Head pub, Thringstone, Leicestershire.
From your home location via the A5 and M42 northbound to merge seamlessly onto the A42 at Junction 11 near Measham. Continue for a further 6 miles to leave the A42 at Junction 13 and take the A512 Ashby Road towards Loughborough. Carry on for 4 miles to Thringstone until The Bulls Head pub appears on a left hand bend. Pass the pub then turn right signed for Grace Dieu Priory car park (brown tourist sign), a few yards after the pub. Photo above.
The pub is open for breakfast at 9 am so toilets are available if using the pub. There are toilets at Mount St. Bernard Abbey which is about the 5 mile mark.
