A circular walk starting the from the Feathers pub in Wadesmill and following well known paths such as the Harcamlow Way and passing the Youngsbury estate. Youngsbury consists of a 18th century park and woodland with 4 hectares of garden around the house, the front part which is dated 1745, the back early 19th century. There are extensive walled gardens, an arboretum, an ice house and tumuli and roman barrows within the grounds which extend to the river Rib.
The walk is all on footpaths and bridleways with hardly any road walking so suitable for dogs. It is very wet underfoot so suitable footwear is essential.
Please park considerately around the village.
There is no need to pre-book or contact the leader in advance. If already a Ramblers member, please bring your Ramblers card (or membership details on the app) as we submit a register to Ramblers before we start the walk. Totally new members are allowed to come on up to three walks before joining.
