This is a lovely, varied short walk passing three lakes, impressive trees, and a selection of flowering shrubs. We walk on a mixture of broad tracks, both paved and unpaved but with good surfaces. There are a few ups and downs but nothing long or taxing. We will take our coffee break in the Walled Garden - either buy a hot drink (and cake?) at the cafe or bring your own - plenty of seating (and toilets) here. If it's a sunny day then there is the option to have a picnic lunch by the lake afterwards (within sight of the car park).
No stiles, steps or steep inclines / pace about 2 mph / assistance dogs only / optional picnic lunch after the walk.
Fisherman's Car Park, Tilgate Drive, Crawley RH10 5LP. This is a pay and display car park. The machine takes cash (it claims cards too but untested!). Charging starts at 11am so a 2 hour ticket (£3) will take us to 1pm however early you are! Directions: as you drive up Titmus Drive towards the park you reach a mini roundabout - turn left here (Tilgate Drive) towards the golf centre. The Fisherman's car park is the first one on your right - you pass the exit before reaching the entrance. If you reach the golf centre you've gone too far!
