Overview

Start time 09.30hrs.

This is a stunning walk up the Dragons back to Waun Fach, the highest point in the Black Mountains. We start by going up Dinas Castle mound before taking the steep ascent up to the plateau where after a short distance we will reach Waun Fach. If the weather is with us the views are spectacular all the way up. Even on a good day there is generally a stiff breeze on the top so you may need to bring some warm cloths even if it is full sunshine at the bottom. The descent is pleasant but steep in places.

There will be coffee & lunch breaks (packed lunch required, plus extra water) along with short breaks to catch your breath and take on some fluid.
