Meet at Stratford International Station at 8.30am to catch the 08.48 High Speed service arriving 09.58 at Ramsgate Station. To get to Stratford International Station from Stratford National Rail walk through Westfield or use the DLR. We will be returning from Margate Station. The return super off-peak fare (to Margate) is £28.95 with a railcard or group save. The return train from Margate is hourly at 49 minutes past and takes 81 minutes on HS1 so we will probably visit the Mechanical Elephant PH for some refreshment before catching the train.
Linear walk of about 10 miles from Ramsgate to Margate along seaside promenades and cliff tops, through parks and gardens, past magnificent houses, sandy bays, follies and a castle. Lunch will be at Broadstairs. It promises to be a really magical day out by the end of which you may find yourself in Dreamland.
