A walk on riverside paths through parkland and woods, crossing main roads that are served by buses to Hounslow. So if you want a shorter walk, this is possible. Paths may be muddy after rain. I suggest you wear thick-soled boots. For about half of the walk people can walk two abreast. There are trees, flowers, bushes and birdlife, and local history will be presented. We can visit an allotment site en route. Bring picnic and something to sit on. Toilets at Twickenham Station and Kneller Park 3⁄4 mile into the route, and at the entrance to the crematorium at Hanworth Road. Refreshments are available at Baber Bridge after walking 4 miles/and a toilet may be available at a café at Cranford. Walk duration about 4 hours, allowing for stops and descriptions of points of interest. Return: buses from Hounslow bus station or Piccadilly Line from Hounslow East Station.
