Overview

Starting from Llwyn Hir Picnic car park. We climb steadily to join the footpath which is shared by the Rhymney Valley Ridgeway and the long distance Cambrian way. This path takes us through fields then ancient Beech woodland. We will have views across Caerphilly and far beyond. Leaving the Cambrian Way we drop down into the valley and then climb to the second ridge with views across Cardiff to Flat Holm, Steep Holm and Somerset. Then its back through the park to the car park.
