Our walk will take us through the lovely grounds of Hadleigh church and over the River Brett, following an undulating route along tracks, field paths and quiet lanes to William's Green (where we will have our apple stop) and Kersey Tye. We will then make our way to Kersey with good views as we descend into the valley, stopping for packed lunch close to the church while we admire the varied and attractive buildings clustered along the main street. We will return to Hadleigh along a different route that passes through woodland, across fields and along the Riverside Walk back to the start.
Please bring packed lunch. The nettles along the paths will no doubt have grown a bit since our recce (shorts wearers be warned!) There have been cows with calves in the field we have to pass through near Kersey both times we have done this walk. There is a very short stretch of busier road (part of the Wool Towns Walk) and we need to cross the A1071 twice - both times at places where visibility is pretty good. There are three stiles. Toilets available at the car park in Hadleigh.
