Overview

Walk 10 in Name the series

This is a 6 mile circular walk  at leisurely pace 2mph or less. There are quite a lot of ups and downs through fields and woodlands. We walk across the common at Upper Maidensgrove to Russell's Water where we will take a few minutes to admire the pond famously used in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. We then follow the Chiltern Way through woodland until we meet the Oxfordshire Way which we take to Pishill Church where we will stop for a picnic lunch. Please bring food and drink. We will then continue on the Oxfordshire Way back to Maidensgrove then turning back over Russell's Water Common to the start.

Walking boots are recommended and you may want to consider walking poles for the uphill sections if you usually use them.
