We begin by heading north-east to meet the Ridge and Valley Walk towards Chawley. Then we walk down to meet the River Dart at Stone Mill Bridge and from there, the walk follows paths and lanes to arrive at the pretty historic town of Chulmleigh. To return to the car park following the Ridge and Valley walk back to Eggesford Forest. A hilly, but lovely walk, quite strenuous in places.
