Finchley & Hornsey is a friendly group, open to everyone. We walk mainly in Herts and surrounding counties.
A very rural walk from the village of Upshire. We go northwards through Warlies Park to Epping Long Green, Bumble Green and Nazeing before looping back along Forest Way. There are fields, woods and commons and some lovely views.
We pass by 2 recently closed pubs, but to make up for this there will be the last tea and cakes of the year in Upshire Church, if we arrive back in time, or the Horseshoes pub.
Parking is possible on the pavement along the road opposite side to the church and pub or further along the road.
Expect hills, vales and stiles. May be wet after rain. Bring a picnic.
