Overview
This a two-lock walk, with a sojourn in each and a winding section of the River Thames in between. We’ll head southwest to go to Radcot Lock on the Thames where we’ll have our first break in its attractive surroundings. We’ll then follow the Thames Path eastwards to the equally attractive Rushey Lock, where we’ll have a picnic lunch. The return takes us due north over pastures to Bampton. There is plenty of parking to both the north and south of the church in Bampton. Be sure to bring a picnic. Joint Vale and West Oxfordshire walk on 1st Tuesday of the month.
