We walk through woodland, along the banks of the Mersey with a couple of diversions due to earlier flood damage, and round to Fletcher Moss Park in Didsbury.
Due to the diversions there will be about a mile of road walking, mainly on fairly quiet roads.
Meet at the corner of Palatine Road and Mill Lane in Northenden. Buses 41 and 43 from town along Palatine Road and also from West Didsbury Tram stop. Limited Street parking available and 1.5 mile walk back from Fletcher Moss.
Fletcher Moss Park, Wilmslow Road. Buses back from Fletcher Moss to East Didsbury and Stockport, and Chorlton and into Central Manchester.
