A riverfront walk on the Crouch. A linear walk, but starting with a cheeky train trip from North Fambridge station to Burnham on Crouch station. Mainly level walking ground with views across to the south and west.
Station parking charge for the day is currently £4.90; single train ticket is £3.05 with a senior railcard, or within a Group ticket (3-9 people who must all travel on the same train).
The train is due to arrive at Burnham staion at 10.00 for those wishing to meet there. FYI the train stops at Althorne at 09.55.
Please arrive at 09.30 before our train departs at 09.50; this will allow time to obtain parking tickets from the station machine and, for those who haven't already purchased their journey online, the necessary train ticket.
As an option, please contact me by the 27th July, if you wish me to purchase a Group ticket to that includes you. I will require cash on the day.
About 1Km from our destination, for those wishing to lunch at the Ferry Boat Inn, we will be able to take a short path off of our route and resume it afterwards. Reservations are required for lunch so please contact me by the 27th July if you wish to go there. They have dog friendly areas in the pub, but advance notice is required if you are bringing one.
