We are the Leicestershire & Rutland Walking Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A 9.5 mile walk from Huncote to Stoney Stanton and back via Croft. The walk is mainly level, passing through a mix of fields, woodlands and urban areas, but towards the end of the walk there is a short but steep ascent to the top of Croft Hill where there are great views across Leicestershire.
There is potential for a brief pub stop about 1.5 miles before the end of the walk, but this will be dependent on time as parking is limited to a maximum of 6 hours.
We park and meet in the free public car park outside Huncote leisure centre. Please park near to the entrance of the car park, to leave spaces further in for leisure centre users, and assemble near the car park entrance.
Parking is restricted to a maximum of 6 hours so we will need to start the walk promptly at 10.30.
