Overview

We start on Ermin Street, the Roman road that linked Gloucester and Silchester.  We ascend through woods and fields to Great Witcombe reservoir and the Roman Villa. We then join the Cotswold Way around Coopers Hill to Cranham Corner with views across to Malvern on a clear day. Fields and quiet lanes to Cranham before climbing through Buckholt Wood and the Cotswold Way again taking us through Witcombe Wood and return.

There are several steep long ascents and descents, it could be muddy after prolonged rain.

Local walk  grade T2 - Hilly and level mix. This will be a faster paced walk.
